Owls for Owies is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in honor of Alina Ellis. Alina was a modern-day Mary Poppins whose creative mind and generous spirit nurtured children’s imaginations and encouraged care for others. She believed puddles were meant for splashing, woods were meant for exploring, and kindness was meant for all. Alina originated Owls for Owies as part of her
childcare business, the Hoot House. We continue the program today in her honor.

Owls for Owies strives to connect children to the kindness they inspire. When possible, we invite members of participating organizations to join us at hospital deliveries and to sign the cards that are included with the owl donations. Owls for Owies also loves posting photos on our social media pages, so as your organization collects owls, tag us in your pictures.
